Hydrostatic testing is performed on fire extinguishers every five and 12 years. This type of test is similar to the six-year test with the addition of a pressure test. If our tests reveal any weaknesses, cracks, or other damage, it is time for a new fire extinguisher. We can help with that too!

Speaking of using a fire extinguisher, it’s important to know how to use one before you need to know how to use one. The PASS method is generally recommended as the most effective way to use a fire extinguisher. It works when extinguishing a smaller fire (like that time Jeff tried to cook a hot pocket in the toaster) or by allowing egress from a building in the case of a larger fire.
